Private & Self-Hosted AI
The full AI stack — models, retrieval, transcription — running on infrastructure you control.
For work that cannot leave your boundary, we deploy the whole stack privately: open-source model serving, speech-to-text, vector search and retrieval, secured networking and access. On your hardware, in an EU cloud, or hybrid. We run our own production systems this way, so the runbooks come from experience, not theory.
- Sensitive data never leaves infrastructure you control
- Predictable costs at volume instead of per-token surprises
- GDPR and sector-regulation conversations become straightforward
What this usually includes
- Self-hosted model serving sized to your workload
- Private retrieval stack: vector search over your data
- Speech-to-text and document pipelines inside your boundary
- Security design, access control, monitoring, and runbooks
Best fit for
- Regulated sectors: finance, healthcare, legal, public
- Firms whose data must stay in the EU — or in the building
- Teams whose inference bills have become a line item
A delivery approach grounded in operations, not hype
- Define sovereignty requirements, workloads, and sizing
- Deploy the stack and benchmark it on your real tasks
- Hand over with runbooks — or let us run it for you
What we can build for you
- Clinical dictation without the cloud: consultations transcribed into structured notes on hospital servers, so patient audio never leaves the building
- Lawyers question an entire case file, privilege intact, from a search server in the firm's own rack
- A deal-room analyst for M&A teams that reads the data room on air-gapped hardware. Nothing reaches a third party, because nothing can
- When citizens write to a public agency, an assistant drafts the reply and every record stays on sovereign infrastructure
- Beside the production line, an offline box answers operators' questions from your machine manuals and fault histories
- Shipping AI features in a SaaS product? A private inference cluster replaces metered API calls once the per-token bill stops making sense
- For insurers, a claims-summarisation stack that reads medical reports and accident photos without touching a public API
- Freight forwarders get a customs-document reader that classifies bills of lading and commercial invoices inside an EU cloud tenant they control
- An HR assistant that answers policy and payroll questions while personnel files never leave your network
- And when you need both: a hybrid routing layer keeps sensitive queries on in-house models and sends routine traffic to cloud providers
Frequently asked questions
- Are open-source models actually good enough for serious work?
- For grounded work, yes: answering questions from your documents, pulling structured data out of forms, transcription, summarisation. Current open models hold up well there, and we benchmark candidates on your own data before you commit to anything. The honest limit: the largest proprietary models still lead on the hardest reasoning tasks. Where that matters, we route just those queries to an EU-hosted API and keep everything else inside your own infrastructure.
- Do we have to buy a rack of GPUs before we see anything?
- No. We start on rented GPU capacity in an EU cloud, prove the workload, then move it onto your own hardware once we know what it actually needs. A pilot can be live while procurement is still comparing quotes. Retrieval and transcription, in particular, run on far more modest hardware than most buyers expect.
- Who keeps this running after you hand it over? We don't have an ML team.
- You don't need one. The stack is standard, documented kit: containers, mainstream model serving, ordinary search infrastructure. We hand over monitoring, alerting and runbooks written for your IT team, not for us, and nothing depends on a framework only we understand. If you'd rather not touch it at all, we'll run it for you under a support arrangement.
- When is self-hosting the wrong choice?
- More often than vendors admit. If your data can lawfully go to a managed EU-hosted API and your volumes are modest, a private stack is operational weight you don't need, and we'll tell you so on the first call. Self-hosting earns its keep when regulation, client contracts or heavy sustained usage demand it. We'd rather scope the smaller build than hand you a platform your team resents maintaining.
